John F. Flanigan graduated from the University of Notre Dame and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law where he was an editorial board member of The Duke Law Journal. Mr. Flanigan practices in the areas of real estate, public finance and business law.

Mr. Flanigan is a past president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and was a member of the governing boards of the South Florida Water Management District and the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority.

Mr. Flanigan is President elect of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County and has served as president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, the local American Heart Association chapter, Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, the Legal Aid Society, Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches, United Way of Palm Beach County, and is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of the Audubon Society of Florida.
