Jon C. Moyle received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University in 1955 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 1961. He has a general practice with emphasis on governmental matters, including legislative representation, environmental permitting, local and state zoning and land use approvals, administrative trials and corporate strategic planning.

Mr. Moyle is a current member of the Florida Council of 100 and has been involved in various organizations and projects during his 47 years of practice in Florida and Palm Beach County. Examples of such activities include his service as a past member (1991-2001) and Chair (1994-1995) of the Florida Board of Regents, member (1978-82) of the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission, member and Chair (1987) of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, member and Chair (1998-1990) of the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission, member of the Florida Constitution Revision Commission (1978-1979) and Chair of the Democratic Party of Florida (1970-1974). He was a founding member of the Board of Directors of Barnett Bank of Palm Beach County (1964) and served as general counsel and director until Barnett Bank was acquired in 1998.

Mr. Moyle served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955-1958, achieving the rank of Captain. He and his wife, Jean, enjoy skiing, hiking, boating and spending time with their three children and their families which include five grandchildren.
